This module serves as a pre-switching device in safety-oriented parts of machine control systems for the additional safety of operating personnel required to perform work in accessible machine zones, for example
in integrated production systems. The circuitry provides an additional precautionary measure, preventing unintentional restart of the control system whilst the operator is still in the accessible area.

in integrated production systems. The circuitry provides an additional precautionary measure, preventing unintentional restart of the control system whilst the operator is still in the accessible area.
Design and mode of operation:
- Start configuration: 2 separate, time dependent reset/On buttons 1 and 2. Monitoring time between the first reset button and the second reset button of 3 … 30 seconds adjustable by a DIP switch.
- Actor configuration: 1-selection control (output pulse approx. 200 ms) of the reset input of a downstream connected safety relay module.
- Edge detection: the trailing edge following reset of Device is analysed, so that errors, for example a welded contact or manipulations, cannot bring hazardous state.
